Barbara King is resource manager for the United States Department of Defense in Jefferson City, Mo. As resource manager for the agency, Ms. King is responsible for overseeing all financial matters for the office, including managing the budget and accounting practices.

Ms. King, who earned a bachelor’s degree in music, brings nearly two decades of experience to her role with the United States Department of Defense. A member of the National Guard for 19 years, Ms. King served a tour of duty in Iraq from 2003 to 2004. Heavily involved in the military field, she is a member of the Illinois Army National Guard, the Missouri Army National Guard, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, NGAUS, AUSA and AEA.

During her long career serving the country, she has developed expertise in resource management and  financial affairs. Her desire to give back to society has been matched only by her hard work and dedication to her role with the Department of Defense.
